Location: Santiago, Chile Hybrid Reporting to : Controller Chile Job Summary • Efficiently and timely support the operational management of the accounting and financial area. • Assist in the registration, control, and financial, budgetary, and accounting management of business units. • Prepare financial and management reports. • Provide necessary information for organizational management and decision-making. Responsibilities Analyze, review, and execute the necessary functions daily to comply with the company's guidelines, preparing and analyzing the accounting entries to be recorded in SAP. * Preparation of monthly/quarterly and annual financial reports according to the corporate calendar. * Coordinate with the R2R team on matters needing review. * Preparation of Trial Balance variances analysis. * Participation in monthly Trial Balance reviews, aiding in identifying relevant aspects of each period and required explanations. * Preparation of Balance Sheet account balance analysis in Blackline. * Assist in clearing General Ledger accounts and preparing adjustment journals. * Provide information and details to ESC for Bank accounts reconciliations. * Deferred expense recording when necessary. * Preparation of Monthly Expense Provisions, obsolescence, and accounting vouchers. * Preparation of monthly reclassifications required in Chile (destruction, COPS accounts, leasing differences, profit center corrections, etc.). * Actual costing registration in local books. * Preparation of accounting entries ensuring accuracy and integrity of accounting balances. * Request support from the global accounting team regarding properly recording of specific or unusual transactions. * Review of expenses in SAP and balance of accounts in Balance Sheet. * Monthly preparation/approval of assigned SOX controls (internal controls). * Control of Service Invoices and tax withholding. Support to the Tax area for the preparation of monthly taxes and Transfer Pricing. * Classification of invoices by category (fixed assets, rejected expenses). * Provide list of overseas services, contracts and conditions of each expense. * Reconciliation of SII Purchase Book, Sales book, with SAP. * Review of monthly F-29 (VAT, employee WHT, imports and F-50 (additional taxes including HT), F24 if needed. * Provide support when information is needed for various tax processes: monthly taxes, annual provision, annual income, and other declarations. * Prepare required reports for Transfer Price declarations. * Management and retrieval of information from the SII portal when necessary. Financial Analysis * Monthly expense control: Generate timely and accurate information for expense control, identifying deviations and follow-up needs with areas to identify transactions to correct or improve. * Identify areas of risk or opportunities and timely propose them to address with the corresponding area. Implement new ideas or processes to address risks or provide valuable information for analysis and decision-making. Participate in initiatives to further develop of financial knowledge of employees in various areas. * Maintain constant and open communication with areas to understand operations and be able to successfully support through recommendations and identification of risks and opportunities. * Support external audits or inspections and Internal Audit as necessary to minimize potential observations. * Work with the corporate team on financial requirements. * Fixed Asset Control as needed. * USGAAP vs Local GAAP control. Support in the accounting process of purchases to suppliers. * Review of weekly payment run. * Create manual and urgent payments . * Review and analysis of open purchase orders. * Support in the use of accounts and cost centers for the correct issuance of Purchase Orders. * Follow-up and request for invoices pending receipt according to open POs. Support cash flow preparation.
